Real Housewives of Orange County star Tamra Judge looked completely unrecognizable as she showed off her swollen peeling face after undergoing extreme cosmetic procedures .
The 57-year-old reality star shared the shocking snaps from her recovery period on social media after getting an eyebrow lift, CO2 laser, and blue chemical peel. These types of cosmetic procedures are typically done to give patients a more youthful appearance as it helps to remove wrinkles, smooth out uneven skin tone, tighten loose skin, and help to recover sun-damage.
Tamra before undergoing the trio of procedures, revealed the previous work she's had as she revealed seven years ago she underwent a lower facelift but skipped out on the upper. She joked this choice was like "painting the house but forgetting the trim" so she paid a visit to Dr. Donald Mowlds in Newport Beach to take care of it.
After these types of cosmetic procedures patients typically experience a nasty period of recovery that often consists of swelling, redness, and skin peeling. In a vulnerable close-up video on Instagram, Tamra shared her experience three days post-procedure as she told her fans: "I don't know how it can get any worse. You can see it's getting oozy. I can barely open my eyes."
The reality star continued: "Okay guys, this is day three. It's supposed to be the worst of it when it comes to swelling. The swelling is from the CO2 laser. You can see it's all the way down my chest. You can imagine what it feels like," she went on to add: "Dr. Mowlds promises me that I turn a corner after this, so I'm excited about that. But overall, looking like it's supposed to look. Nice and crispy."
Speaking on her symptoms, Tamra explained that the skin on her neck and chest was "oozy" and that the swelling looks pretty bad but confirmed that it doesn't hurt, it just feels "really tight." The Bravo star went on to explain that her throat also hurt from the tube the doctor inserted.
Fans shared mixed reactions to Tamra's update as some praised her for being open and honest about her cosmetic procedures while others slammed her for her "vanity." Under the post, one supporter wrote: "I love your honesty with all the cosmetic things that you do to yourself that most lie about."
And another added: "Looks painful but I appreciate your honesty. I just turned 50 and I started looking at my neck. Hoping you have a speedy recovery." While another fan sweetly penned: "Oh my goodness! Hope you are not in pain and you look amazing after! You are one tough cookie!"
And while Tamra did receive some kind messages, many critics were quick to slam the reality star for altering her looks. One user asked: "Why would you ever do this to yourself? Are you that vain?" And another added: "Hell I'll grow old gracefully. I was gorgeous and beautiful at a certain time in my lifetime. It's time to embrace wisdom and wrinkles and to be proud of them!" And a third replied: "Jeez, why would you put your face through this just for the vanity."
