Danielle Moore, the lead singer of Crazy P , has tragically passed away at the age of 52.

The electronic group 's frontwoman died under "sudden and tragic circumstances" last Friday, August 30. The band members of Heartbreaker fame expressed their profound grief as they shared the news of Moore's untimely death.

In their statement issued on Instagram , they said: "We are devastated to announce the unbelievable and shocking news that our beautiful Danielle Moore has died in sudden and tragic circumstances. This happened on Friday afternoon August 30th. We cannot believe the news ourselves and we know it will be the same for all of you. She gave us so much and we love her so much. Formed in 1995 by Chris Todd and Jim Baron at the University of Nottingham, Crazy P later expanded in 2002 to include bassist Tim Davies, percussionist Mav Kendricks, and vocalist Danielle.

Signed by Paper Recordings, a Manchester-based label, they have since released six albums and numerous singles such as their first one Digging Deeper in 1996. The band also garnered a dedicated following in Australia, where they have toured multiple times.

Danielle, who had performed with Crazy P at festivals like Bestival and The Big Chill, once expressed her deep love for music in an interview with Le Visiteur, saying: "I love listening to new music. I really wish I had more time to really indulge in the seeking and searching. There's so much great music constantly coming through but there's also amazing old music that you can't possibly hear. That's the brilliance of it."

The news of the singer's untimely passing led to an outpouring of grief on social media. A fan posted on X, previously known as Twitter: "I'm so so so sorry guys. Danielle was a complete ball of light and love .. a force to be reckoned with and one of the most beautiful humans I've ever known. Such a huge, mammoth loss. Sending love to you both and thoughts are with her family."

Another shared their personal sentiments: "I loved that woman so much. She was a such a special person, on and off the stage, but especially off it. Funny, kind, generous, even a little shy, but just an incredible human being. I'm so devastated by this. Much love to you all, this is just the worst news."
