Leah Remini warned Jennifer Lopez about Ben Affleck before fall-out with singer

Jennifer Lopez 's best friend warned the singer about her marriage to Ben Affleck .

Jennifer filed for divorce from the actor on Tuesday, August 20, in a Los Angeles County Superior Court and filed "pro per", which means she filed by herself and without an attorney. Jennifer and Ben rekindled their love in July 2021 after dating back in 2002 to 2004. They tied the knot in 2022 in Las Vegas.

Eyebrows raised when Leah was not seen at Jennifer's wedding and a source revealed that two fell out due after Jennifer got back with Ben and got married.

A source told the New York Post that the two got into a fight before the former couple’s 2022 wedding after Leah expressed her concern over Ben. Leah warned Jennifer about why the two broke things off in the first place.

The source said: "Because he is selfish and is not fully committed as a partner."

A second source explained that Leah wanted to reconnect with Jennifer. In May, they said: "They were friends for years. She wants to reach out to her, but she can’t just call up and say, ‘I told you so.' J.Lo was so mad, she cut off all ties."

The two have since been in contact and were there for one another after Leah followed in Jennifer's steps and announced that she and her husband of 21 years, Angelo Pagán, were getting a divorce . They were together for a total of 28 years.

The King of Queens star revealed that she put a lot of thought into their mutual decision to end their relationship, and upon contemplation they both realized they had changed as people. Even though they're divorcing, Leah said that their bond is still strong. They plan to continue to remain "friendly," according to TMZ. They share one daughter together, 20-year-old Sofia Bella Pagán.

Jennifer and Leah met through Jennifer's ex-husband Marc Anthony at his Man on Fire film premiere in 2004. Leah told Entertainment Tonight in 2018 that there was "instant chemistry" between the two. The two even starred in the 2018 film, Opening Act.
