    Jeopardy! champion Amy Schneider is 'reeling' from this 90s film as she returns to viewers' TV screens

    Amy Schneider is 'reeling' from this 90's film .

    On X formerly Twitter, the Jeopardy! Champion reflected on the 1999's film Being John Malkovich and how she watched it for the first time in college and then many times after that. Apparently, she was watching it recently when she realized how 'much wilder' than fantastical film was than she remembered.

    Amy tweeted on September 3rd about it: "If, like me, you were in college when Being John Malkovich came out, and you saw it in theaters, and maybe a few times after, like when you’d get dvds from Netflix in those little envelopes, and you think you remember how wild it was- I assure you, it is SO MUCH WILDER than that."

    She added in a follow-tweet in the comments: "I am REELING"

    Other fans reminisced about the movie and declared a rewatch was in order. One fan wrote: "Saw it on my first date with my husband! We should rewatch!" A second fan wrote: Hi Amy! I attended a showing of Being John Malkovich during a snowstorm & we were the only 2 people there adoring the film & doing cartwheels w/mouths filled [popcorn emoji]." Another said: "It was wild, but not in a way that weirded us out. Like most of us went with it, right? The scene with Charlie Sheen got genuine laughs iirc."

    Being John Malkovich is a surrealist comedy-drama that follows unemployed puppeteer Craig Schwartz (John Cusack) from New York City, who gets hired temporarily as a filing clerk for the zany Dr. Lester (Orson Bean). Craig discovers a portal that takes him into the mind of notable actor John Malkovich. Cameron Diaz and Catherine Keener also star in this film. John plays a satirical version of himself within the film.

    The film was directed by Spike Jonze and written by Charlie Kaufman which was both their feature film debut. The acclaimed film was nominated for three Oscars at the 72nd Academy Awards: Best Director, Best Original Screenplay, and Best Supporting Actress for Catherine.

    As Amy thought about this movie, her April 5th episode competing against Victoria Groce , and Andrew He in Jeopardy Invitational Tournament aired as a rerun on September 4. The 45-year-old writer, much like Being John Malkovich, is a fan-favorite. Amy has won 40 consecutive games on the trivia game show from November 2021 to January 2022. She also won the November 2022 Tournament of Champions.

    She has been cemented in history as the most successful woman and transgender contestant to ever compete in the show in regards to the length of her winning streak and her $1.6 earnings. She currently holds the second place title of the most consecutive amount of games won behind host Ken Jennings with 74 games.
