Kylie Jenner shows off new edgy teal blue hairstyle as fans joke 'King Kylie is back'

Kylie Jenner showed off her newly dyed teal blue locks in a glamorous new selfie as her long-time fans joked "King Kylie is back."

In a newly posted snap, the Kylie Cosmetics founder looked as stunning as ever as she shared a set of up-close car selfies showing off her dramatic new hair transformation. The 27-year-old reality star debuted the new edgy look on Instagram for her 397 million followers along with the clever caption: "teal the end of time."

This comes as the reality star was previously spotted out and about at Los Angeles hotspot Sushi Park on September 4 first rocking the bright blue locks. As Kylie debuted the bold new makeover, many fans said that she was "so back" in her King Kylie era as the shade reminded many of the hue she rocked back in 2014.

"King Kylie" refers to Kylie's life and online presence from 2014 to 2015 that many of her long-time fans long for. Many remembered this as the era before Kylie had children, was pre-cosmetic surgery, and was still dating rapper Tyga.

During this period of time, Kylie often sported eccentric fashion choices, vibrant hair colors, and had an unapologetic edgy persona. Kylie briefly revisited her "King Kylie" persona earlier this year as she dyed her hair bubble gum pink before returning back to her signature brunette locks.

Under the snap, one fan commented: "KING KYLIE BACK AS SHE SHOULD." And another supporter added: "I smelled the King Kylie era." While a third replied: "oh we are so back." And a fourth chimed in: "the king is back and better than ever."

Speaking on that formative time in her life, Kylie told Vogue in a 2023 interview: "It is really significant. King Kylie for me was less about what I was wearing, and more about how I felt in that era. I just felt confident, free, and I didn’t care what anyone said. I think that there’s a lot of power in that — and I’m definitely channeling my King Kylie energy this year.”
