The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives has seemed to break the internet with its controversial premiere on Friday.

Some found it shocking that there was a reality show that focused on members of what’s considered to be a conservative religious group. Mormons are members of a religious group that primarily associates with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS). However, many couldn’t help but tune in to get a glimpse inside the lives of Mormon mom influencers Taylor Frankie Paul, Demi Engemann, Jennifer Affleck, Jessi Ngatikaura, Layla Taylor, Mayci Neeley, Mikayla Mathews, and Whitney Leavitt.

Each eight women had gone viral on TikTok for opening up about their lives on the social media app.

Several who watched the premiere on Hulu on September 7 didn’t hold back their criticism or their dislike for certain cast members, taking to X, formerly Twitter, to drag SLOMW.

“The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives is so messy,” one wrote on X. Another added, “Watching The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives and wow….this is genuinely the most uncomfortable showing of mean girl energy I’ve seen in a long time.” Meanwhile, another contributed: “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives on Hulu is a disappointment. It’s like made for white trash.”

Many also made it known that they had an issue with SLOMW star Whitney’s personality.

“Yea sorry but Whitney is going to be the downfall of the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. I don’t even need to watching anymore episodes,” a critic shadily wrote on the social media platform.

“Im like 15 minutes into Secret Lives of Mormon Wives and we all agree Whitney is the worst… right?? #SecretLivesOfMormonWives #momtok,” a second agreed. A third shared, “Whitney uses the Mormon church as a reason to be a mean girl. This girl is a B- - -h #thesecretlivesofmormonwives #momtok.”

Someone else noted: “I watched a few episodes of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives and why did Whitney agree to be on this show? I’m not liking her.

Whitney has two two million followers on TikTok and can be found @whitneyleavitt on the platform. Whitney is married to Conner, who was caught using Tinder during their marriage. During the first episode, Whitney says she and her family had moved to Hawaii following the rumors of her husband.

The two share two children together and Whitney has a third on the way.

I was going to start watching it out of curiosity and I wonder what their elders are going to think.
