Taylor Fritz's net worth, controversial girlfriend Morgan Riddle and huge tennis earnings

Taylor Fritz is on the brink of realising his American dream as he gears up for the U.S. Open final.

The tennis star triumphed over fellow American Frances Tiafoe with a score of 4-6 7-5 3-6 6-4 6-1, making him the first home player to reach the New York final since Andy Roddick in 2006.

If Fritz beats Jannik Sinner - who knocked out Jack Draper - in Sunday's final, he'll follow in the footsteps of Roddick's 2003 victory, the last time an American man clinched the title at Flushing Meadows. Fritz has been leading the charge for American men in recent years and now has his sights set on his first grand slam title.

As the 26-year-old prepares for his momentous match, here's a look at his net worth and career earnings, plus his relationship with influencer Morgan Riddle....

    Taylor Fritz net worth

Compared to many of his contemporaries, Fritz's net worth is relatively modest, estimated at around $3m (approximately £2.3million). However, following his impressive performance in New York, this figure is expected to increase significantly thanks to both prize money and potential lucrative endorsements.

    Influencer girlfriend

Fritz is in a relationship with 27-year-old influencer Morgan Riddle, who has gained popularity on TikTok with over 500,000 followers. She made headlines during this year's Wimbledon when Alexander Zverev, Fritz's fourth-round opponent, took issue with her enthusiastic celebrations in the players' box.

She once sought to educate outsiders about tennis using her social media fame, declaring in 2022 in a now-deleted video that she was "on a personal mission to make tennis cool again". While it was well-received by some, she faced backlash for saying: "I know tennis is relatively uncool and unknown in America".

However, Fritz defended his partner, insisting he was a big supporter of the point she was trying to make. He said: "I think what she did was awesome for our sport. It got a ton of people looking at it.

"I think you get your typical older fan who may be upset about it. I don't understand how anyone can get upset about it."

    Career earnings

Fritz's career earnings stand at an impressive $17 million in prize money, with $2.5 million in 2024 alone up to his run at the U.S. Open.

    U.S. Open prize purse

Should he take home the trophy, Fritz stands to more than double his yearly winnings. The champion will be rewarded with $3.6 million, while the runner-up earns exactly half. For a player whose track record hasn't seen him go beyond the quarter-finals of a grand slam, it would be biggest payday of his career.
