Kate Middleton and Prince William are hoping to expand their team after it was revealed the Princess of Wales has plans to return to work .

Princess Kate took a step back from public duties following her cancer diagnosis, but it's believed she could be returning to work in just two months. Ahead of her return to royal duties, Kate and William have posted a job advertisement for a senior communications officer.

The job description reads: "The successful candidate will lead on communications plans for Their Royal Highnesses' engagements and support on the delivery of communications strategies to promote their key projects. The role will also involve responding to media inquiries on matters related to The Prince and Princess and their family ."

The role also requires travel between the royal residences in the UK, as well as travel abroad. The candidate will also have to "handle sensitive information with tact and discretion at all times".

The job listing comes as Kate is believed to be ready to make her return to her royal duties. A friend has stressed Kate still experiences good days and bad days amid her ongoing cancer treatment, but said she hopes to return to her work in November.

It's believed that after spending the summer in Balmoral with her husband Prince William and their three children, Kate has started to think about the months ahead. It's understood she hopes to "potentially" join the Royal Family at the Cenotaph for the National Service of Remembrance on November 10.

While there are hopes for Kate to attend this event, there are no plans for her to accompany William to this year's Earthshot Prize awards. Royal aides are also believed to have started planning for Kate's annual televised 'Together at Christmas' carol service at Westminster Abbey, according to a report in The Times .

The Princess of Wales has been continuing with some work while undergoing cancer treatment. She has been holding regular meetings with her private secretary, Tom White, her assistant private secretary, Natalie Burrows, and the Waleses’ communications secretary, Lee Thompson.

Kate revealed back in March that she had been diagnosed with an undisclosed form of cancer and stepped down from her work to recover. It's believed she is now feeling "so much stronger" after undergoing treatment.

Praying that she is in remission. Miss her genuine heartfelt kindness to all she comes in contact with. A breath of fresh air.
