Country music lovers were left fuming as the list of 2024 the CMA Award nominations were announced and Beyoncé's name was nowhere in sight.

Beyoncé's unexpected snub comes as the 43-year-old artist shattered music records this year with her first-ever country album Cowboy Carter . The history-making release broke numerous records this year including becoming the most-streamed album in a single day, generating the most first-day global streams of all her albums, and reeling in the most first-day streams for a country album by a female artist.

But despite these notable wins, Beyoncé was not nominated for any awards at the 2024 CMA Awards. This has left the Beyhive outraged with many taking to social media airing out their complaints towards the award show on social media and slamming the ceremony for consistently denying Black artists fair recognition over the years.

After the CMA Award nominations were announced many fans took to X, formerly Twitter, airing out their grievances with the award show. One user wrote: "The CMA’s have once again deferred to those in the industry who prefer to deny Black artists the recognition they deserve, failing to nominate Beyoncé in a single category this year despite her record-breaking success with TEXAS HOLD ‘EM and #COWBOYCARTER," and added: "The CC era received overwhelming critical acclaim, commercially-outperformed nearly all other releases this year, and brought millions of new listeners and engagements to the genre."

Others brought up the history of the award show lacking diversity. Another supporter wrote: "Mind you Tracy Chapman just became the first black woman to ever win a CMA and this award show has been going on for almost 60 years, and it took a white man to cover her song for her to win that award. This unfortunately isn’t shocking in the slightest."

Another critic fumed: "CMA will always co to rally show their racism in their actions… black artists, who started the genre shouldn’t even give their time or effort to anything associated with this group of fools." And someone else agreed: "Beyoncé’s performance is the highest rated in CMA history.. CC helped open doors for other black country artists & dominated a prominently white genre. it’s disgusting seeing the racism still present in award shows."

The only Black artist that was honored with a nomination this year was country star Shaboozey. The talented singer was nominated for two categories this year including Best New Artist and Single of the Year. And while thanking the award show for his own nomination, Shaboozey also spoke out on Beyoncé's snub and shared his love for her new album. On X, the artist wrote: "Thank you @Beyonce for opening a door for us, starting a conversation, and giving us one of the most innovative country albums of all time!"
