Teaser for Prince Harry's newest Netflix project drops hours after Princess Kate's cancer update

Fans have brutally slammed Prince Harry and Meghan Markle as the teaser for Archewell Productions' new Netflix docuseries dropped just hours after Princess Kate's cancer recovery update .

On September 9, Prince Harry's sister-in-law Prince Kate shared a vulnerable update with her supporters as she gave an inside look at her cancer journey . In the video, the 42-year-old announced that she had completed her chemotherapy treatment and was navigating the "long" road to recovery ahead. In the emotional update, Prince Kate shared her newfound appreciation for life, love, and family since her difficult fight with cancer.

But despite the candid update, Netflix still moved forward with promoting the Sussexs' upcoming docuseries POLO in the same day. In the teaser shared on X, formerly Twitter, a shares of still snaps from the upcoming project were posted. These four images featured included both action shots of polo players on their horses as well as behind-the-scene moments captured of the athletes caring for their animals.

Netflix captioned the update: "POLO is a new documentary series that follows elite global players and offers an exclusive, behind-the-scenes look at the fast-paced world of the sport. From Archewell Productions and Boardwalk Pictures. Premiering this December."

After the streaming giant shared the post, many users took to the replies sharing their outrage over the insensitive timing. Under the post, many shared their anger while others cancelled their subscription from Netflix altogether. Under the teaser, one user fumed: "Great timing @netflix you’re disgusting. Trying to piggy back off the Princess of Wales to sell a crappy series about a ponce who abuses horses."

And another replied: "Using a family member's cancer to help try and promote this flop of a documentary, not cool Netflix." And someone else added: "Posting this straight after Catherine’s announcement about her cancer ensures that not only will I not watch this, I will also cancel Netflix. Screw you." And someone else chimed in: "Did you think it was big and clever to release this just after Princess Catherine released her amazing video and news about her recovering from Cancer? You could have held off posting this about a poxy polo show!!!"
