Reality star TV Joey Essex popped up on Netflix's hit series Selling Sunset and left many viewers confused how he could possibly afford a multi-million dollar LA property. The British TV star made an unexpected appearance on one of the streaming giant's hottest shows and briefly met the cast during Season 8.

In episode nine, Joey toured a jaw-dropping $5.25 million mansion with agent Chelsea Lazkani. Before Joey's arrival, Chelsea teased: "My client specifically said one word - sexy. He's from London. He's moving to LA.

"When people move to LA they wanna be where everyone wants to be which is the Hollywood Hills with the views and they wanna entertain."

During his visit, Joey was stunned by the property, which includes four bathrooms, calling it "amazing". Chelsea hinted at showing him more homes in the area and seemed open to an offer for the mansion.

Emma Hernan joined the tour, and Joey didn't hesitate to express his interest in the 32-year-old and he even asking for her number, reports the Mirror .

The cameo sparked a flurry of reactions online, especially since Joey had recently been vying for £50,000 on the UK version of Love Island. One viewer shared their disbelief: "Lool Joey Essex can afford a $5 million house?!" Another added: "Joey Essex looking at a house in LA for $5.2 million on selling sunset before going on Love Island to try to win 50k has to be satire. He's not real"

The reality star, Joey, has been able to afford a luxurious home in Los Angeles due to his successful career in reality TV. He's earned a considerable fortune over the years, including a reported £60,000 for his appearance on I'm a Celebrity in 2013.
