General Hospital fans swoon over 'crackling chemistry' as forbidden age-gap romance ignites

General Hospital fans were feeling the scenes between Jason and Anna.

On Tuesday's episode of the ABC daytime drama , Jason came into Anna's office. She asked him if he came to gloat since Sonny had not been charged in the murder. She mentioned that Alexis has been arrested for disposing of the gun they think was involved in Cates' murder so she is a person of interest. Jason responded that he came by because she asked him to come by and he also didn't know about Alexis.

Anna then told Jason what she wanted to tell him which was the question of who was she dealing with and who has she been dealing with. She elaborated that she thought they had an alliance of sorts when they join forces to figure out who was running Pikeman and working Cates but now she sees it's all over. The two made long eye contact where Anna looked to be about to say something and then stopped. Jason could see that and asked her about it. She softly answered, "I thought we were becoming friends."

Fans took to social media to discuss the chemistry between the two of them and how they think there should be something between them. One fan on X formerly Twitter wrote: "Not Jason and Anna having crackling chemistry!" A second fan said: "I’m starting to think Jason and Anna are a love story."

Another said: "Aww I love that Jason wants to keep his relationship with Anna. I didn't expect to love these scenes as much." A fan on a General Hospital subreddit for today's episode wrote: "It kind of seems like Jason and Anna might make out? But this show is so allergic to anything sexual, so probably not."

Viewers will have to see if the show goes there with them. Jason used to date Anna's daughter Robin back in the day and that could be a cause of conflict. Although, Robin hasn't been seen on the show in person since 2021. But regardless where the show goes, their developing friendship and conflict is interesting. Jason is loyal to Sonny and Anna believes Sonny kills Cates.

By the end of the episode when they were in the hospital, Jason told Anna he would not abandon Sonny but they could still help each other because he considers her a friend. She responded she wished she felt the same. Jason looking slightly stunned by her change in admission said " Let me know when that changes" to which she replied she hope it does.
