Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas finalize divorce as actress moves on with British aristocrat

Joe Jonas and his estranged wife Sophie Turner have finally reached a resolution in their divorce.

Legal documents reveal that the two celebrities have come to a settlement in the divorce and a judge has approved it. Although the settlement's terms are confidential, they have gone to mediation to figure out a property and child custody settlement, according to TMZ . Although Joe and Sophie are now legally single, they've moved on romantically before their divorce was made official. The model is now dating British aristocrat Peregrine Pearson.

Meanwhile, Joe had a whirlwind romance with actress Stormi Bree before being linked to Lebanese actress Laila Abdallah.

Sophie and Joe's settlement happened a year out from when the Jonas Brothers frontman filed for divorce, which came after months of marital woes within their relationship. The two began dating in 2016, and got engaged in 2017. Two years after Joe and Sophie tied the knot in 2019 in a Las Vegas wedding ceremony. They now share two children Willa and Delphine. Throughout his and Sophie's split, Joe has channeled his feelings surrounding their divorce in his recent solo album.

Joe admitted that his solo album is the "most personal" music he's ever put out. Additionally, he unveiled that the record was "emotional" and was like "sharing his journal', so it was too personal to release with his brothers.

The pop singer confessed that his new music as "all over the place", explaining: "There’s some real beautiful ballads, there’s some songs about being a dad, there’s songs about love, there’s songs about being better to yourself - kind of everything."

Speaking about his new single Work It Out, which released in July, he said: "We wrote it really quickly. The idea is that sometimes you realize that you just have to shake yourself out of something and you’re the only person that’s going to fix it for yourself - no-one’s going to come save you. It’s an emotional lyric with fun music."

Joe also revealed on the Therapuss podcast: "I needed to go and express some stuff, just for myself. I had a window of time and I locked myself away with a bunch of incredible singer-songwriters. We made an album in like two weeks. I’m really, really excited. Ut’s the most personal music I’ve ever put out."

After they broke up, Sophie also opened up about their divorce.

"I mean, those were the worst few days of my life. There were some days that I didn’t know if I was going to make it," she told Vogue.
