Foo Fighters' Dave Grohl's daughters Violet and Harper's telling move after cheating and baby confession

Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl’s daughters Violet and Harper appear to be going on a hiatus from social media following their dad’s infidelity scandal making headlines.

Early Tuesday afternoon news broke that the rock star had fathered a fourth daughter outside of his marriage to Violet and her sisters Harper and Ophelia’s mom Jordyn Blum. Dave divulged the information on Instagram today that he had welcomed another child with a woman who wasn’t Jordyn. Amid the drama Violet’s page is deactivated; however, when exactly she first closed her page isn’t clear.

Harper’s Instagram page has also been deactivated also.

“I’ve recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage,” Dave’s online post read.“I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her. I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness.”

Dave and Jordyn jumped the broom in 2003 in an intimate ceremony at the couple’s home in Los Angeles, California, on August 2 of that year. Music mogul Clive Davis and the ex-drummer’s former Nirvana bandmate Krist Novoselic were some of the famous attendees at their wedding. While their union is Jordyn’s first marriage, it’s Dave’s second.

Before Jordyn, Dave was married to photographer Jennifer Youngblood from 1994 to 1997. Dave and Jordyn tend to keep a low profile as a couple, but they did grace the 2023 Grammys red carpet together. Although Jordyn doesn’t publicly speak on her marriage with Dave often, from time to time the music star has.

“Jordyn and Violet are anchors that keep me from completely disappearing,” he told The Guardian in 2007.

Dave also opened up in the past about how Jordyn and his girls changed his work style.

“I used to tour nine months out of the year. Now I don’t like being away from my kids for more than 12 days,” he told TIME in 2010.“It’s changed everything that I do.”

He continued: “When you have kids, you see life through different eyes. You feel love more deeply and are maybe a little more compassionate. It’s inevitable that that would make its way into your songwriting.”

Despite trying to keep their family business out of the spotlight, news of Dave and Jordyn expecting Violet was accidentally revealed by his ex-bandmate, the late Taylor Hawkins.

“We’re going to be touring Europe in January and February, but we’ve got to be home by March, because Dave and his wife are having a baby,” Taylor told MTV in 2006. “But I probably wasn’t supposed to tell you that.”
