Prince William and Kate Middleton have banned a particular item from their home to promote healthy boundaries for their three children , according to reports.

Despite having access to numerous resources as senior members of the Royal Family, the Prince and Princess of Wales face similar challenges as other parents, especially concerning modern life's complexities. William and Kate have reportedly prohibited their children - Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis - from owning iPads due to concerns about screen time.

This rule is believed to have first been implemented when George and Charlotte were just four and two years old, respectively. The royal couple hopes to encourage their children to use their imaginations instead of relying on technology for entertainment.

"They're very much seen as Mummy and Daddy's toys, not for children," an anonymous source familiar with the couple said. "As two people who grew up without gadgets for entertainment themselves, William and Kate are firm believers in toys, outdoor play, and encouraging an active imagination."

The source noted to Us Weekly that despite the responsibilities that come with being part of the Royal Family, William and Kate are dedicated to providing a sense of normalcy for their children. They suggested: "While they feel it's important to make them aware of their backgrounds, it's also vital for both George and Charlotte to have as much normalcy in their lives as possible."

During a visit to the BAFTA headquarters, William shared his parental woes regarding screen time, which is an ongoing battle in their household. He humorously confessed that managing how much time his son, George, spends on video games is quite the task.

"We watch their screen time, you have to be careful about that. They do definitely like gaming, they're fascinated by that. George particularly he's more interested in it," he revealed.

It's believed William's parenting style has been greatly influenced by his late mother Princess Diana. The late Princess of Wales famously allowed her sons to enjoy as normal a life as possible, letting them wear jeans and baseball caps and make trips to McDonald’s for burgers.
