RuPaul Drag Race's Alaska reveals if she'd appear on future All-Stars season after blacklist claims

Alaska 5000 first appeared on RuPaul's Drag Race season five and returned for All Stars season two, but many were surprised when she wasn't called for the All Stars: All Winners season of the hit reality TV series.

At the time, the drag queen implied she blacklisted due to her podcast Race Chaser, but during an exclusive chat with The Mirror US at Broadway's Elsie Fest, she revealed she still has hopes of appearing on a future All Stars: All Winners season.

When asked if she'd be willing to return, she responded: "Yeah, totally. Listen, if Rupaul called me, I would totally go. I'm just waiting for the call, mother. Call me. I'm ready. No, I would totally do it."

Alaska then spoke on her experience on the show.

"It was like going to Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory and it was like, it was every dream that I had as a, as a young person who started drag, right when that show started," she told us.

"It was just like, wonderful timing and like a memory that I'll just always cherish and love," she added.

This comes after Alaska previously addressed claims that she was blacklisted from the TV series after launching her podcast Race Chaser with William while appearing on drag queen Maddy Morphosis' YouTube series Give it to Me Straight. Her last appearance on RuPaul's was in 2012. She launched the podcast in 2018 and casting for All Stars: All Winners was announced in 2022. Maddy was the one who suggested that the podcast may have decreased Alaska's odds, and Alaska seemingly agreed.

"I think it comes down to Willam. Willam is actively acrimonious. I want to be clear that the reason our podcast works is that we don’t look at Drag Race the same way,” she said. "She’s super critical of the show and the company, which I am too at times, but ultimately we don’t see it the same way. Just because I have a podcast with Willam, doesn’t mean the views expressed are the same."

"It sucks. It bums me out," Alaska continued. "This podcast network is something we built together… If that has soured my relationship with World of Wonder, that breaks my heart. But I’m also so immensely proud of what we’re doing and I wouldn’t change that."

Alaska was at Elsie Fest to promote and perform a number from her upcoming musical Drag: The Musical. Alaska teased some info about the upcoming production, sharing that she wasn't playing herself but another drag queen persona. This was reflected in her appearance. While Alaska is known for her blonde locks, she was wearing a black wig as part of her transformation.
