Crocodile Dundee star Paul Hogan's grandson, Jake Paul Hogan, has been implicated in an airport theft.

The 34-year-old faced his first case over the arrest on Wednesday after he was suspected of being the man caught on camera breaking into Sydney International Airport in Australia on August 10. The alleged thief targeted a restricted area to steal a bike valued at over $5,000AUD ($3,325USD).

Australian Police officers claim that Jake used house-breaking tools during the incident, which took place in the employee bike rack room. When they located him after the event, they allege he was still in possession of such tools.

The police report suggests that Jake managed to force his way into the room, located in the airport's car park. He is then accused of stealing a custom-built, champagne-colored Surly Ogre bike from one of Australia's busiest commercial ports.

Three days later, on August 13, officers allege he returned to the airport after 5am and stole two more bikes, thought to be black mountain bikes. It was at this point that he was discovered and apprehended by officers as investigations commenced.

After following their leads, the police formally charged Jake with six offenses related to the airport break-ins on August 28. At the time, the Hollywood icon's grandson was already in police custody facing unrelated charges of breaking and entering.

The man was presented to Sydney's Downing Centre Local Court on Wednesday (September 11), where the case was postponed until later in the month. Represented by his attorney, he remains in remand but is still in police custody.

Jake Paul Hogan has recently admitted guilt for a series of other crimes - attributing his criminal behavior to an addiction to methamphetamine, or "ice". As per Daily Mail Australia, Jake was promptly enrolled in a prison rehab program aimed at helping him overcome his addiction.

To gain entry to the facility, Jake was informed that he would need to confess to his crimes while at a drug court in New South Wales. He complied, admitting to being addicted to methamphetamine for several years - and will now be housed in the Compulsory Drug Treatment Correctional Centre in Parklea Prison, located about 40 kilometers west of Sydney.

Jake Paul is the grandson of renowned Australian actor Paul Hogan, who gained international fame with the Hollywood hit Crocodile Dundee. The 84 year old has received numerous awards, including Golden Globes and the Logie Award for Best New Talent in 1973 for his work in films.
