Taylor Swift shows off her moves as she supports Katy Perry at the MTV VMAs after feud

Taylor Swift danced the night away the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards .

Megan Thee Stallion hosted the award show on Wednesday, September 11 at the UBS Arena on Long Island, New York. Throughout the night, camera's caught Taylor dancing, singing and having a good times with friends. She was even caught dancing to Katy Perry's Video Vanguard Award performance and it went viral.

The Tortured Poets Department singer was caught in the act, singing and dancing, as Katy was singing, E.T., California Gurls, Teenage Dream and LIFETIMES, Gypsy Woman (She’s Homeless) with Doechi joining her on stage. Taylor applauded Katy for her outstanding performance and was seen all giddy.

The moment was quickly posted online and went viral, with a side by side video showing Katy's jaw-dropping performance and Taylor's reaction. One person commented under a TikTok video, writing: "I was jamming this too... omg." Another person wrote: "No bad blood here, love girls supporting girls. Taylor just having so much fun is always fun to see." A third person wrote: "Taylor will always be a girl’s girl." A fourth commented: "SWIFTYCAT."

Katy and Taylor did not always get along and fought in public for four years. It all started over allegations the Fireworks singer "stole" some of Taylor's back-up dancers for her own tour. Taylor then referenced the fallout in a 2015 interview, where she said: "For years, I was never sure if we were friends or not."

She told Rolling Stone: "She would come up to me at awards shows and say something and walk away, and I would think, 'Are we friends, or did she just give me the harshest insult of my life?' She did something so horrible, I was like, 'Oh, we're just straight-up enemies.' And it wasn't even about a guy! It had to do with business."

Taylor even threw subtle shade to Katy in her song Bad Blood, followed by the music video that gave hints that the song was about their fall out. Speculation that the two were no longer friends ended when Katy flew out to Australia and posted videos at the Eras Tour. Katy even posted a selfie with Taylor.
