Halsey confirms engagement to Victorious star Avan Jogia after major VMAs clue

Halsey broke the internet as she confirmed her engagement to Avan Jogia.

The New Americana singer confirmed the news on X, formerly know as Twitter, on Thursday, September 12 calling Avan her "fiancé." She replied back to a post from Pop Base that read: "Halsey says she hopes to marry boyfriend Avan Jogia," with a picture f the two. Halsey corrected the outlet and replied back to the post, writing: "***fiancé Avan Jogia."

The two sparked dating rumors in September 2023 when they were spotted kissing in Los Angeles. A month later, the singer confirmed her relationship with the former Victorious star on Instagram.

Fans quickly sent their congratulations and shared their excitement towards the news. One person wrote: "That’s really sweet to hear! Halsey and Avan Jogia seem to have a special connection, and it's wonderful that she’s expressing her hopes for their future together." Another wrote: "I’m overjoyed for H and Avan! The way they speak about each other brings me to tears every time. They absolutely deserve everything wonderful in the world and beyond." A third user wrote: "I hope they last. They look so good together!!" A fourth wrote: "CONGRATULATIONS QUEEN WE ARE SO HAPPY FOR YOU."

At the 2024 MTV VMAs, she hinted at the news when she shared whether marriage was in the cards for her and Avan. She then told E! News correspondent Will Marfuggi, "I hope so. Avan is the best. He's one of the greatest things that ever happened to me. And every single day that I get to spend with him is one where I just feel like I'm with my best friend."

She also revealed that Avan and her son, Ender Ridley, 3, are "best friend too" and that "they're inseparable." Halsey shares Ender Ridley with her ex-boyfriend Alex Aydin and they split in April 2023.

The Bad at Love singer and Avan first sparked engagement rumors over the summer when they were spotted having an outing in New York City. A photographed showed Halsey having a ring on her finger while the two were all over each other and smiling.
