General Hospital fans slam 'hypocrite' Jason as he hits out at Carly's 'dangerous' suitor

General Hospital fans are booing Jason for his reaction towards Carly and Station Chief John "Jack" Brennan as drama brews off screen as well.

On Thursday's episode of the ABC soap , Jason and Carly were discussing Lucky's unknown whereabouts in Somalia. Carly mentioned how Isaiah (the doctor Jason saved) discovered the recent location where Lucky was being held captive but then found out that the location has been moved. Jason wondered how she could've possibly figured that out. Carly simply said, "Jack Brennan.: Jason looked very irritated to hear that and told Carly to stay away from him.

The two went inside Lulu's room to continue their private conversation . Carly asked Jason why she should stay away. Jason explained it's because Jack is dangerous, to which Carly hit back that she can handle him. She added that Jack gave her what she wanted and he asked for nothing in return. Jason threw back that "nothing is for free in that world." Carly stressed it was just a conversation and Jason said not with Jack it is. He elaborated that if he's giving someone something, he wants something in return.

Jason reiterated that she needs to stay away from Jack and requested that she does. Carly asked him if he was saying that Jack is John "Jagger" Cates bad. Jason clarified that what he meant is that Jack has an agenda and is powerful. He gave an example of Jack being bad news when he almost abducted Carly.

Carly said it was all a miscommunication. Jason went on to say that there's no honor, loyalty at the World Security Bureau where Jack works. He said those people only look out for themselves. Carly responded in an outburst that she doesn't care and the most important thing is getting Lucky and saving Lulu.

GH fans on social media were annoyed with Jason for getting on Carly's case about Jack, especially because it was hypocritical. They also didn't want him to come between the romantic potential between the two. Jack and Carly have had a flirtatious relationship in their scenes together. Also, Jack's interest in Carly is quite evident on the show.

One fan on X formerly Twitter wrote: "Carly should have said to Jason, 'you're dangerous too yet Jack didn't let you linger in prison and your freedom was riding on mine. So maybe look for another argument coz right now you're a hypocrite who didn't even thank him, not that he owed you anything.'" A second fan said: "Jason, pls get out of Carly’s face and go watch your kids or something. She’s grown and can do what she wants, dpmo" Another said: "Jason better stop trying to [chicken emoji] block my girl!"
