An Ohio man killed his fiancée and baby daughter in a double murder suicide while FaceTiming his friend.

On Tuesday night 22-year-old Jaden Robinson killed Isabella Addington, 20, and Imani Robinson, 4 months old, then himself following a domestic dispute , according to Columbus police. Robinson had been texting and FaceTiming a friend at the time of the incident who called police after he heard gunshots .

“I was talking on the phone with my friend, and I heard gunshots go off,” the friend said. “The phone fell. I’m not sure what is going on over there.” A 911 dispatcher asked the friend if he thought Robinson had shot himself, and he said it was possible.

Robinson's friend sounded shocked, repeatedly saying “oh my god” to himself between questions from the dispatcher, the Columbus Dispatcher reported. “I don’t know why he even called me to do that,” he said. “I just don’t understand.”

Another call was made to 911 from someone in the home who said he heard four shots fired upstairs. He told police he thought Robinson had shot Isabella, and that a 4-month-old child was in the room with them.

Court documents revealed Robinson had been out on bail since May 2023 while facing three weapons charges and one count of drug possession stemming from an incident in 2022, Fox 28 reported. Documents also show that police reported Robinson was in possession of a Glock Switch with a fully loaded magazine while at a park in June 2022.

Robinson was not supposed to have a weapon at all, according to Franklin County Court of Common Pleas documents, due to an aggravated burglary charge he faced in 2021. His next court appearance was set for Sept. 19 this year.

CPD Sergeant Joe Albert pleaded that people involved in a domestic dispute to try and settle matters without violence. “We beg and plead people, don’t resort to firearms to settle your disputes if you’re in a potential domestic violence relationship, reach out and get help. We don’t want any more victims.” he said.

Why he didn't take his own life without others involved is beyond me. At least he saved taxpayers' money.
