Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson scampered into the endzone for a one-yard rushing touchdown on the opening drive of his team's Sunday matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars .

Watson 's run capped off an impressive 16-play, 89-yard drive lasting over nine minutes to put the Browns up 7-0. Cleveland took a 13-3 lead into the locker room at halftime as the Browns quarterback completed 11 of 15 passes for 105 yards.

As Watson scored a chorus of boos could be heard raining down from the Everbank Stadium crowd in Jacksonville. Further allegations emerged this week against the quarterback , which Watson strongly denies. He continues to line up under center for the Browns.

CBS, airing the Browns vs Jaguars game, aired a graphic chronicling the new allegations. The NFL is reviewing the new claim alleged against Watson, who can still continue to play under the league announces a verdict.

There have been calls to remove him from the starting lineup for sporting reasons. NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy said: "We are reviewing the complaint and we will look into the matter under the Personal Conduct Policy. The league is currently not looking at the Commissioner’s Exempt list as there’s been no formal charges and the league’s review has just begun."

A statement from the Browns read: "We will respect the due process our legal system affords regarding the recently filed civil suit and follow the NFL’s guidelines on this matter."

Watson was horrible in Cleveland's Week 1 home 33-17 defeat against the Dallas Cowboys. He completed just 24 of 45 passes for 169 yards to go along with one touchdown and two touchdowns. Most of the yards came in garbage down. Derek Carr and the New Orleans Saints dropped 35 first-half points on the Dallas defense just a week later.

The Browns signed Watson to a stunning five-year, $230 million fully-guaranteed contract after sending three first-round picks to acquire him from the Houston Texans in 2022. NFL Insider Ari Meirov detailed how the Browns may be able to void some of those guarantees if Watson were to get suspended again.

In 13 starts with the Browns entering this week, Watson has led Cleveland to a 8-5 record by completing 59.1% of his passes for 2386 yards and 15 touchdowns.

As a woman, I’m skeptical of this accusation due to the fact it comes years later, and I’m starting to think that maybe the team held it out as an ace in a hole.
