Prince Harry 's birthday wish from Prince William is the biggest hint yet he will be accepted back into the Royal Family - ' but there's a long road ahead yet,' say experts.

The Royal Family stunned the world by making a huge gesture to the Duke of Sussex today. They made a surprise move by extending birthday wishes to Prince Harry on social media as he celebrated his 40th birthday, but experts say it's still 'baby steps' towards mending their painful rift.

A royal insider told The Mirror.com: "There's nothing King Charles wants more than his two sons to make amends. These are his twilight years, and he wants to enjoy them with his family unified.

"Prince William's birthday message is a sign that tensions are starting to ease up between the brothers, and there is a way ahead. It's baby steps towards healing their rift.

"However Prince William will proceed with caution. There are still wounds to heal after the Oprah interview, but this is certainly a step forward."

Prince Harry was left reeling after the fall-out from his now infamous explosive Oprah Winfrey interview. Prince Harry has suffered desertion by some of his oldest friends after he was chastised for his audience with the talk show legend. In Harry's book Spare, he Harry opened up about how his favorite former nanny Tiggy Pettifer even grilled him over the Oprah interview.

He said: "I told them that I failed to see how speaking to Oprah was any different from what my family and their staffs, had done for decades - briefing the press on the sly, planting stories."

Meanwhile the Royal Family made a notable move by extending birthday wishes to Prince Harry via social media as he celebrated his 40th birthday.

The Duke of Sussex, who is marking the milestone today, is said to be spending the day with Meghan Markle and their two children, Archie, aged five, and two year old Lilibet. Plans for the weekend include quality time with friends and family in the States, but there's also buzz about a potential reconciliatory meeting with his father, King Charles III, during his upcoming visit to the UK.

Their official account posted: "Wishing The Duke of Sussex a very happy 40th birthday today! " This public acknowledgment is particularly significant since it's not common for non-working royals to receive such greetings on the family's official social media channels.

It's been three years since Prince Harry last received a birthday shout-out from the Royal Family account, which was back in 2021 when Queen Elizabeth II was still reigning. Similarly, the Prince and Princess of Wales' account last publicly acknowledged his birthday that same year, reports the Mirror .

It's expected that Harry will celebrate his 40th birthday surrounded by family and friends before taking some time off with a group of close buddies, as per reports.

Harry, this is for you...tell Wm to stick his forgiveness up the opposite end from his shiny bald head. He's childishly baiting you. Don't you remember your childhood with him?
