Dave Grohl responds to viral post from a user claiming she's the mother of his love child

A user on Instagram recently claimed that she was the woman who Dave Grohl had an extramarital affair with .

The Foo Fighters frontman made headlines last week when he shared a statement on Instagram that he fathered a child outside of his marriage to Jordyn Blum. Since then, a now-deleted Instagram account has claimed she's the mystery woman that gave Dave his fourth child.

An Instagram user shared a photo of a baby girl in what looks to be a carseat with a pink blanket draped over her. The baby's face is half obscured, but she's holding onto the hand of this mystery woman.

"My sweet Roxie Junie Grohl, being your mama has already been the most incredible experience of my life," the caption started. In the lengthy caption, multiple references were made to Dave being involved in the pregnancy and that this child was definitely his.

The caption stated: "Your daddy was by my side through the entire pregnancy, making sure we were both taken care of and I'm so grateful for his love and support." It later suggested the baby looked like the rockstar, with the Instagram user writing: "You are truly a Grohl through and through. It's amazing how much of him is already shining in you."

"Your dad is so proud that you carry on his family's spirit, and I can already tell you have that same strength and kindness in you," it added. The caption ended with a few hashtags, most notably #my20thbirthdaygift, alluding that this woman is decades younger than Dave who turned 55 last January.

Dave's representative told TMZ that the post was fake and that this woman is not the mother nor is the baby in the photo Dave's. The outlet also claimed to speak to the person who created the page who responded: "I'm sorry this was a fake page we just wanted followers! We're minors!"

The news of Dave's infidelity was announced by Dave himself who shared a post on Instagram admitting he was the father of a baby girl. "I've recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage," he wrote.

"I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her," the statement continued, "I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness."
