Netflix has greenlit a fifth season of the hit show Emily in Paris, which will be much to the delight of its legion of fans.

The announcement comes on the heels of the successful Part 2 premiere of Season 4 on September 12.

Season 4's launch on August 12 saw it soar to the top of Netflix's Global Top 10 list, amassing a whopping 19.9 million views within the first four days.

The series has not only reached the Top 10 in an impressive 93 countries but also maintained its position there for four straight weeks, reports the Mirror .

Darren Star, the mastermind behind the series, expressed his enthusiasm to Netflix's Tudum : "We're thrilled with the incredible response to this season of Emily in Paris and excited to return for a fifth to continue Emily's adventures in Rome and Paris!"

In the latest season, viewers watched as the titular character ignited an Italian romance and set off to Rome to establish a new office for Agence Grateau.

Despite the Roman holiday, Darren has assured viewers that the title will remain unchanged, stating: "Emily's going to have a presence in Rome. It doesn't mean she's not going to be in Paris, but she's going to have a presence in Rome."

Darren explained the decision to move the setting by saying he aims to "stay ahead of the audience and take them to unexpected places," showcasing "the show has the ability to have a bigger footprint."

Last season was rife with old sparks and the promise of new romances, featuring Lily Collins who returned as the charming Emily Cooper.

Lily spilled the beans on Season 5 during her stint on Good Morning America and delved deeper into Emily's path to romance with Marcello (portrayed by Eugenio Franceschini) in a Tudum interview.

"Marcello is a whole other adventure that we want for Emily because we ultimately want Emily to be able to have a better work/life balance," she disclosed.

"We want to have Emily be able to smile without condition. We want to see her beyond her vacay mode. And he comes at that perfect time."

Further teasing what's ahead, Darren shared with fans that Emily's budding romance with Marcello will take center stage in Season 5, revealing: "I feel like they have a real spark and a real connection and a real romantic connection. A lot of that's going to continue to play out next season."

Emily in Paris is available to stream now exclusively on Netflix.
