Woman shares 'only reason' she shops in Costco – and it's not the bargains

If you're a Costco cardholder, you're probably familiar with the store's vast array of deals . From electronics to kitchen appliances, birthday cakes to basic food items, Costco has it all.

However, one woman confessed she doesn't visit the discount retailer for any of these items and instead goes for something entirely free. TikTok user @bantercards invited her followers to "come to Costco in the UK" with her, revealing she only shops there for "the water and the samples".

She first sampled some chips, served on decorative cupcake paper. "What I love about the samples is that you have to pretend you're interested in what they're selling when really you just want the samples ," she quipped.

The second sample was noodles, which she labelled as "disgusting," adding: "So we definitely didn't buy those.",

The third sample was pancakes, with her sister pretending that she had no idea what plain pancakes tasted like.

Next were brownies, which she praised as "amazing" and ended up purchasing. When the stall attendant "disappeared", they seized the opportunity to grab more brownie samples which they devoured. The fifth sample was Perinaise, priced at two bottles for £5.

They then scored 40 bottles of water for $4.60 (£3.50), humorously stating that "this is the only reason we come," before enjoying their sixth cheese sample and concluding their trip with complimentary coffee.

"Then the best bit is the food at the end", she exclaimed, emphasizing how it's "so cheap". The pair enjoyed the food, and she further recommended, "If you can get a Costco membership I'd highly recommend it, just for the cheap food and the samples to be honest because it's a lovely day out".
