Got some leftover hotdog buns and no clue what to do with them ?

Well, you're in luck because a savvy cook has just dropped a genius hack that'll breathe new life into those leftover hot dog buns and save them from the trash can. The kitchen guru, known as Fitwaffle on TikTok , has dished out a drool-worthy recipe that's putting a delicious spin on French toast.

In her latest viral video, the food enthusiast said: "If you've ever got any leftover hotdog buns, you've got to make this French toast. Just slice your hotdog buns into quarters so they look like mini slices of bread. So cute. Then crack two eggs into a bowl, and whisk with milk and vanilla (one teaspoon)."

She then suggests soaking the bun pieces in the egg, milk, and vanilla concoction, ensuring to let the extra drip off. Next up, melt some butter in a skillet and fry those cuties until each side is perfectly golden.

For that final wow factor, she recommends combining cinnamon with sugar for a sweet, crunchy topping that's sprinkled over the toast, reports the Mirror .
