Shedeur Sanders divides fans with bold move after 'stupid' Travis Hunter decision

Shedeur Sanders has left fans split after he snubbed Colorado State quarterback Brayden Fowler-Nicolosi following a fiery game.

The Colorado Buffaloes quarterback inspired his team to a 28-9 victory in the Rocky Mountain Showdown on Saturday. The fierce game played out amid a backdrop of personal taunts and behavior from players on both sides that spilled into the game, and evidently afterwards.

Entering the clash having won the last six consecutive matches against Colorado, Sanders and the Buffaloes were subjected to some intense trash talk by Rams players after it took two overtimes for Deion Sanders ’ team to win last year’s game. But the Rams weren’t able to hold up their talk as they were convincingly beaten, seeing a few of their players left red-faced.

Following the conclusion of the Buffs’ victory, players from both sides began to exchange the customary pleasantries. However, Sanders refused to shake everyone’s hand as he snubbed Fowler-Nicolosi’s hand and instead began aggressively pointing in his face and could be heard saying: “Talking s--- on Instagram”.

Fowler-Nicolosi had already upset the Buffs team after gesturing that Travis Hunter was too small . But Hunter had the last laugh, jumping underneath Fowler-Nicolosi’s intended target to snatch an interception. "How stupid is that? This is Travis Hunter. Dude, this is Travis Hunter. This is Travis Hunter! Who does that? I wouldn’t allow my kids to do that, and y’all know that. And that ought to be said," Coach Prime said on the incident.

The Rams QB still held his hand out for Sanders to let the pre-match animosity lie, but the 22-year-old continued to berate his opposite number, telling Fowler-Nicolosi that the Buffs had handled their business and “you can’t f*** with me” before the No. 16 walked away.

Sanders' behavior split opinion from fans on social media, as one user backed the Buffs star's reaction, saying: “Disrespect doesn’t deserve a handshake & Shedeur said it to his face unlike the CSU QB.” Another wrote: “Don’t talk crazy then try to be buddy busy after the game”. While a third added: “Can’t blame him”.

However, plenty of other accounts hit out at Sanders for a lack of respect, one comment read: “Sanders looks like a fool and has no sense of sportsmanship. Bad look.” A second agreed: “Bad look, I don’t care what he said”. Another account insisted that the pre-match words are a part of the mental battle of a rival game. “It’s okay to talk trash before a game, especially with rivals. But when the battle is over, you shake a man’s hand when he offers it. Sheduer is not a man,” they said.

“He was man enough to talk s*** before the game and even then went to show humility to shake his hand like a true sportsman and this dude Shedeur acting like a world class jack***,” one supporter slammed.

Sanders is in his final college season and so far has more question marks tha answers over his character. Another said: “How many red flags can you leave all over your final college season?” While a different comment slammed Sanders is “NOT a leader at all.”
