Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck still have 'lots of love between them' despite divorce

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck might be getting a divorce , but one relationship expert has said that doesn't mean their feelings have "just disappeared overnight".

The pair were married for just two years before J.Lo filed for divorce last month. However, there seems to be a fresh twist to their love story as they were reportedly spotted kissing and holding hands on a lunch date .

Ben and J.Lo were seen taking their kids out for brunch over the weekend, with one source suggesting they couldn't keep their hands off each other. Relationship expert Louella Alderson believes the former couple will still have "lots of love between them", but warned against fans hoping for a reconciliation.

Speaking exclusively to The Mirror US, she said: "It feels like Ben and Jennifer have had some of the stress taken off their shoulders by finally filing for divorce after weeks of speculation. The reported kissing and cuddling on their recent outing could indicate there is still lots of love between them and it shows that their feelings haven’t just disappeared overnight.

"However, it's important to remember that physical affection doesn’t necessarily mean a reconciliation is on the horizon. It's not uncommon for exes to still have a strong emotional and physical connection after a breakup. "

Louella suggested the kissing and hugging could be a "moment of nostalgia and comfort" for J.Lo and Ben. She suggested: "They just need to make sure they are open and honest with each other about their feelings and intentions as reconnecting physically can bring back feelings of intimacy and make it harder for people to move on."

Louella pointed out that Ben and J.Lo broke up for a reason. She added: "They likely thought long and hard about whether they were right for each other in the long term.

"It appears that they are in a transitional period right now but I believe it's likely the divorce will still go forward. Even if it slows the process down, Ben and Jennifer seem to have fundamental issues that led to their separation. Those issues will likely still stand after these current emotions subside."

Her comments come after a source claimed to Page Six on Saturday: "Ben and J.Lo are currently at the Polo Lounge at the Beverly Hills Hotel holding hands and kissing. The kids are with them, but at a separate table."
