Viewers question The Golden Bachelorette contestants' intentions after major 'red flag'

Joan Vassos has officially met all her suitors on The Golden Bachelorette, but one man, Pascal, had viewers questioning his authenticity due to a red flag they noticed.

During the first-ever premiere of The Golden Bachelorette viewers were met with a whirlwind of emotions as they met the men vying for Joan's affections. Throughout the acton-packed episode dozens of viewers made it clear they were watching for one person in particular . And while many are rooting for The Bachelor star Kelsey Anderson's father Mark, another suitor captured many people's attention.

After the initial introductions though, as Joan started to meet with some of the men one-on-one to get to know them better, one of the contestants caused some fans to raise their eyebrows. Shortly after Joan entered the mansion, she was whisked away by Pascal, a 69-year-old salon owner from Chicago. Unfortunately, the French man had some questioning his true intentions after his intro package aired.

In the package, Pascal seemingly bragged about his success and lifestyle and a particular comment about being able to have relationships with several women had some fans getting the ick. After Pascal's introduction aired fans took to X, formerly Twitter, sharing their mixed reactions to Joan's potential suitor. One viewer wrote: "I feel very comfortable with woman.' Pascal is such a STUD." While another replied: "I don't know how I feel about pascal."

Someone else predicted: "Pascal gon be a problem." While another fan responded: "Ima keep my eye on Pascal. He give me sugar daddy vibes and I cant have anybody who might mistreat my girl Joan on the show." And someone else speculated: "Pascal has definitely had a young lady or two on his arm though."

But despite the warning signs that viewers picked up on, Joan appeared to be captivated by him as they shared a meaningful chat during the first night of the series. And while Pascal seemed to spark Joan's interest, she was not her top pick as she granted her first impression rose to Keith. Joan explained that she chose Keith because their connection felt "good and easy" which reminded her of her romance with her late husband. Keith happily accepted the rose from Joan and the two sealed the night with a sweet kiss.
