Extreme Makeover: Home Edition's Eduardo Xol spoke about 'reincarnation' in final post before passing

Nine years before his untimely death , Eduardo Xol made a cryptic Instagram post as he implied his perspective on the afterlife.

The Extreme Makeover: Home Edition star posted a beautiful picture of a plain of grain with some brush and trees against a blue-gray sky background on social media. In the caption, he wrote: "My next incarnation..."

This was Eduardo's final post, disappearing from Instagram for the past six years. The ABC network star's other past posts included artistic designs with very minimalistic captions. Rather than share glimpses of his life, Eduardo appeared to prefer posting impactful art that he came across.

Eduardo died on Sept. 19 at Desert Regional Medical Center. The star was just 58-years-old and was a beloved figure on Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, joining the crew in the show's second season.

Eduardo's friend Richard Perez-Feria shared an emotional post on Instagram, confirming the sad news of his death with a photo gallery. His caption read: "It's nearly incomprehensible that I'm writing this post as a goodbye to someone who has been so present, so important in my life. When I first learned that Eduardo Xol had passed, I went numb."

"It was impossible to process that information as it didn't square with my thousands of experiences with him. Please don't ask me how or why at this point...what matters most is who he was: A talented, beautiful, passionate friend, brother, son and partner. The millions of laughs, hopes and secrets we shared remain at the fore of my thoughts. I want to honor my dear friend and celebrate his life as one that mattered to so many."

Richard then expressed the profound impact Eduardo had on his life and offered "healing love at this horrific time to his circle of friends and family who loved him so."

According to TMZ , the television personality was found stabbed in his apartment a week before his death. The Palm Springs Police Department stated that Eduardo had called for help and was found with significant injuries. He was rushed to a local hospital on Tuesday, Sept. 10, before succumbing to his injuries just days later.

Richard Joseph Gonzales, a 34-year-old man from Cathedral City, California, has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder in relation to Eduardo's stabbing and subsequent death. Police became suspicious of Joseph after he called dispatch on the day Eduardo was discovered, claiming he was an assault victim the previous night, TMZ reported.
