Dave Grohl's three-word plan to rebuild family after fathering child outside of marriage

Dave Grohl's shattered family is a number one priority for the musician after he revealed details about his secret love child earlier this month.

The rocker has been married to Jordyn Blum since 2003, sharing three children with her. However, Dave recently confessed that he had fathered a child who was born out of wedlock with a different woman. Now, the Foo Fighters member isn't quite ready to give up on his established family, hoping to "earn their forgiveness."

In full, he wrote on social media : “I’ve recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage . I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her. I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness. We’re all grateful for your consideration toward all the children involved, as we move forward together."

While Dave's bombshell revelation rattled the public, insiders weren't thrown off. A source disclosed to People Magazine: "We keep reading over and over again how heartbroken everyone is because Dave was supposed to be the 'good guy', the rockstar that didn't have to do those rockstar things. And people are crazy about the guy, but there is a rockstar side."

Another insider told the outlet that Jordyn "was shocked when she found out about the baby. Her friends are like family, and they rallied around her."

"Dave's flirty behavior has been a hurdle in their marriage. It's been hurtful to Jordyn," they added.

Friends close to Jordyn believe she had inklings about his infidelity, but didn't know just how far it ran. A source told inTouch Magazine: "He feared the mother or someone else would spill the news. It's his way to own up that he's made mistakes."

Nonetheless, one of his exes had a lot to say about that rockstar lifestyle, branding him a "scumbag." Kari Wuhrer wasn't shocked by the information when it spilled because of how he allegedly treated her in the relationship. The star said she felt compelled to speak with Howard Stern on air because "he would just look at me like I didn't exist. I just felt like I knew he was a scumbag after that."
