A man is behind bars after he was accused of stabbing his sister multiple times with a hunting knife as she ate and once she was dead, calmly finishing her food.

It was reported that, days later, the man had confessed what he had done to his sibling's ex-husband. Authorities have charged Dwayne Breis Robinson, 34, with first-degree murder for his alleged “premeditated intent to cause the death” of his sister Diane Robinson, 36, at the home the pair shared in Vancouver , reports Law and Crime .

According to Washington authorities, Robinson confessed to the death of his sister earlier this month and admitted that he had been living with the body for days.

Police told the outlet that Diane's ex-husband, identified as Kenneth Leachman, grew concerned when he had not heard from her and decided to stop by the house. Authorities say that Robinson then opened the door and told Leachman the horrifying truth. It was revealed in a police report that Leachman called police that very day.

Upon their arrival at the stabbing scene, law enforcement officials reported finding Diane's body in the kitchen of the residence under a blanket. When police questioned Robinson, the man told police that he was depressed and believed that his sister had engaged in a decades-long campaign to poison him. The belief was later deemed to be wrong when Robinson's attorney requested a competency hearing for his client.

The Oregonian later reported that Robinson openly admitted to police that he had killed his sister while she was eating and then finished her meal because he knew "it wasn't poisoned." Robinson is slated to appear in court on October 9, 2024. Until that point, he is being held in the Clark County Jail without bond.

News of the stabbing comes after a Tennessee man was arrested for allegedly stabbing his girlfriend ten times while she was pregnant with his child. According to police, this was the man's third attack on his girlfriend since July of this year.

Police say that they were called to a parking lot around 8:40pm last Friday where they discovered a woman suffering from multiple stab wounds. While on her way to the hospital, the woman told police that she had been with some friends when her ex-boyfriend Deandre Wilkins appeared and reportedly punched her in the face.

A complaint filed by the victim claimed that Wilkins then drew a knife and said: “I told you I was going to get you. The woman, who survived the assault, later helped police pick the man out of a lineup. According to the victim, she and Wilkins had started dating last year and had recently broken things off.

According to the ex-girlfriend, the first assault occurred in July when Wilkins reportedly punched her in the face three to four times and then stole her purse. Police say that the victim did not immediately report the incident.
