MrBeast seeks AI concept artist as fans fume over 'garbage' results and demand 'real artists'

Amid a myriad of allegations and business concerns , MrBeast once again horrified fans when he made a new job posting.

The YouTuber 's brand and company listed a job position on LinkedIn for an AI Concept Artist. According to the description, the potential employee would work on YouTube thumbnails and would be responsible for "developing concepts for a variety of video ideas" and "utilizing tools such as AI to streamline and enhance the creative process."

Fans were peeved by MrBeast 's business move, citing their concerns over the use of artificial intelligence, particularly in creative spaces such as content creation. One fan wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter: "Why tf is he HIRING for ai garbage. You just put in a promt to recieve the garbage. Why pay someone for doing nothing when he can pay for real art [sic]."

MrBeast, also known as Jimmy Donaldson, listed the role a few months after his cash prize winnings were poured into helping send students to art school. Another YouTuber, JaidenAnimations, competed in one of his brutal challenges with her money being donated directly back to her community in the form of scholarships.

Fans couldn't help but see the hypocrisy as they argued that the AI art would push out real potential and talent. They pressed the star to reconsider, emphasizing other choices out there. One wrote: "Jimmy you’re a f------ multi billionaire influencer go hire some REAL artists for thumbnails and not some fata-- who just makes dogs--- from a computer within 10 seconds."

It's unclear if the original job was removed or if it was just updated to remove the inclusion of artificial intelligence. On LinkedIn, a spot is still open for a Concept Artist on his team, but makes no reference to the use of AI. The business does not list what the salary range would look like, but describes compensation as "competitive."

MrBeast's employment practices have fallen into question before when he was accused of knowingly hiring a convicted pedophile. Moreover, the online personality has faced consistent backlash from former employees for alleged unethical business operations with an employee guide to content creation leaking highlighting some questionable practices.
