Travis Kelce's Kansas City Chiefs teammates make their feelings clear on his poor form

A number of Kansas City Chiefs players were seen wearing Travis Kelce t-shirts as they warmed up for the team's game against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 4.

Kelce has received criticism for his performances to begin the 2024 season, playing three games without a touchdown while only having 69 yards on just eight catches. But the tight end has stated that he's still the same player.

Showing support for their superstar pass-catcher, several Chiefs players wore the tee ahead of the game against the Chargers in a game he'll be eager to post big numbers in.

Earlier in the week, Kelce told reporters: "I think this year stats may say something different, but at the same time you'll see the same person inside this building, and that's all I really care about. I'm my own worst critic. Everything outside of this building is just noise.

"I'm fortunate. I've had the success in the past and I realized that the ball can't always go to one person. It can't always get in my hands, but at the same time, I got all the trust in Patrick Mahomes to make the right decision, and he's been making great decisions. We might not be putting up as many points as we want to, but at the same time we're 3-0 and we're doing something right.''

Mahomes has stated himself that defenses have looked to double cover Kelce and have essentially taken him out of the offense at times, which has allowed Rashee Rice to thrive - who is amongst the league leaders in receiving yards.

After Kelce's third game of the season, body language expert Judi James told Mirror U.S. Sports that he looked 'hunched and subdued' throughout the day.

James said: "Hunched and uncharacteristically subdued-looking here, Travis appears to be in reflective mood in this moment of what appears to be unhappiness.

‌"His eye expression looks undeniably sad and the quick tongue-poke gesture suggests dislike, disapproval or even disgust. Is he crying? His hand to eye gesture could just be a quick rubbing ritual but it does also allow for tears but if he is wiping a tear he’s doing it in a way that would suggest he’s desperately trying to cover up. His finger rubs the top of his closed lid to suggest he’s just clearing or scratching although there is then a subtle dabbing or rubbing lower down on the cheek afterward.

‌"This body language could of course be caused by many reasons like: the game if its going badly or if he’s off-form; a moment of exhaustion; a romance-based Swifty-rift; separation anxiety caused by the fact Taylor was AWOL or even just the way the wind is destroying his new hairdo."
