AT&T users report issues with mobile phone and landline internet in US in addition to widespread Verizon outages .

Over the last few hours reports of hundreds of outages spiked to nearly 1,500 people reporting issues texting and calling at 11 a.m. ET, according to DownDetector.com , a website that monitors online complaints about technology outages. The most reported locations were Chicago, Atlanta, New York City and Houston, the site said.

Reports showed that phones couldn't access 5G home internet and users complained that they couldn't make or receive calls, the DailyMail reported. This comes as a Verizon network outage has left millions of users with their phones in SOS mode .
