People have been left stunned after a mother unveiled her son's unique name - which some claim sounds like 'bacon'.

First-time mom Brooklyn Franklin, who gained internet popularity by sharing her pregnancy and parenting journey, wanted a distinctive name for her son. In a recent TikTok video, she shared a tender moment with her son in her car, saying: "How it feels knowing my son will never have the same name as someone else growing up."

"And that's on made up names," she added, reports the Daily Record .

Her son's name is Bekan. Although the influencer recently claimed she "made it up", the name is also linked to a Star Wars character and is the name of a village in Ireland.

Research indicates the masculine name Bekan symbolizes someone who seeks love and independence.

Brooklyn mentioned she initially loved the name Beckham but desired something more unique. Now, social media users can't help but think it sounds like 'bacon', and some pointed out the name might not be as unique as the 25 year old thinks.

The internet has heated up with chatter about a child's distinctive first name, leading to mixed reactions, such as one person's bewilderment: "What kind of name is Bekan. Poor kid."

A different user pondered the pronunciation: "How do you pronounce it cause I keep saying bacon."

Brooklyn jumped in to explain that her sons name is pronounced 'beck-an'. Surprisingly, a few people chimed in to say the name wasnt new to them.
