Oasis fever is gripping North America as the Britpop icons - set to embark on their much-anticipated 2025 reunion tour , their first since splitting in 2009 - have added more tour dates due to "phenomenal" demand.

Frontmen Liam and Noel Gallagher , who recently ended a 15-year estrangement following their explosive split, had their band's management post an update on X, formerly known as Twitter : "Due to phenomenal demand, additional dates have been announced in Toronto, East Rutherford, Los Angeles and Mexico City!"

The group has also informed that "fans selected in the private pre-sale ballot" for their North American jaunt received their code with "all the information required" but noted: "Please not, a code does not guarantee tickets. Tickets will be sold on a first come first served basis."

The North American leg of Oasis' tour kicks off on August 24 with twin gigs in Toronto, followed by Chicago, then back-to-back shows in New Jersey, LA, and Mexico City. Rewind to August 2009, when Noel Gallagher famously walked out on the band after a notorious spat with brother Liam just before a Paris festival show a row that led to a lengthy sibling rift only healed by their recent reunion announcement.

Despite selling out 19 stadium shows across the UK and Ireland, the ticket sales process faced backlash from fans over Ticketmaster's use of dynamic pricing during the sale. Oasis fans were left reeling after spending hours in queues and dealing with technical glitches. Many ended up paying more than double the standard ticket price amidst overwhelming demand. Regarding their North American tour dates, Oasis has made it clear that Ticketmaster's controversial dynamic pricing will not come into play.

A representative for Oasis clarified: "Ticketmaster's dynamic pricing model will not be applied to the forthcoming sale of tickets to Oasis concerts in North America." They acknowledged: "It is widely accepted that dynamic pricing remains a significant tool to combat ticket touting and keeps prices for a significant proportion of fans lower than the market rate and thus more affordable."

However, they critiqued: "But, when unprecedented ticket demand (where the entire tour could be sold many times over at the moment tickets go on sale) is combined with technology that cannot cope with that demand, it becomes less effective and can lead to an unacceptable experience for fans."

The decision aims to spare North American followers the troubles faced by fans in the UK and Ireland, as detailed by Oasis' management: "We have made this decision for the North America tour to hopefully avoid a repeat of the issues fans in the UK and Ireland experienced recently."
