The Bold and the Beautiful fans slam 'clown' Taylor's 'broken heart' syndrome

Dr. Taylor Hayes (Rebecca Budig) was in shock finding out she was misdiagnosed .

On the Friday, October 4, episode of The Bold and the Beautiful , Grace Buckingham (Cassandra Creech) broke the news to Dr. Taylor that she was not suffering from heart failure , rather than from a broken heart. Grace is "one of the best cardiologists in the country," according to Ridge Forrester (Ronn Moss), and she ran tests after she found out that Dr. Taylor never received any follow-up care after her heart failure diagnosis.

Dr. Taylor was experiencing symptoms like chest pain and shortness of breath , which tests showed that she was experiencing what they call, broken heart syndrome.

The two were in denial at first but Grace explained to Ridge that with more tests, she would be able to confirm that a broken heart is what Dr. Taylor was suffering from. Dr. Taylor quickly shut down Grace's expertise and was in denial.

The Bold and the Beautiful fans were also in shock with the news and did not know whether to be happy or confused for Dr. Taylor. One person on X, formerly known as Twitter, wrote: "Well, let’s hope this “broken heart syndrome” is real and that additional tests confirm it cause I’d hate for Taylor to 'die' for a third time #BoldandBeautiful." Another fan added: "And I know logically this is a real thing but this is just… I have no choice but to clown this. #BoldandBeautiful." A third person said: "Yes, Taylor, you could have broken heart syndrome cause you lost Ridge #BoldandBeautiful." A fourth noted: "Baby Taylor… you ain’t the only one who think it’s ridiculous. Better pull up a chair and join the crowd. #BoldandBeautiful."

Many believe that Grace's diagnosis was true since Dr. Taylor fainted after witnessing Ridge and his girlfriend, Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang), make out. Ridge started to "analyze" Dr. Taylor and told her that he heard the body and mind were connected. She brought up Brooke and told him that he has an "ego" if he believed that he and Brooke were the reason for her "broken heart."

She reassured him that since they have split, she's moved on and is living a "fulfilling" life.
