Colorado Buffaloes star Travis Hunter has admitted that his wish would be to play for the Denver Broncos in the NFL as he looks forward to the 2025 draft.

The two-way youngster is expected to be a top five pick, such is the fanfare surrounding his talents- having impressed under the tutelage of Deion Sanders in Colorado. Boasting versatility in both the wide receiver or cornerback positions, he has six touchdowns and 561 yards so far this season.

The 21-year-old has been no secret of his ambitions either, with his sights firmly set on being the No. 1 overall pick in next year's draft. Now, the starlet has earmarked his preferred destination for when he does make the transition into the professional game - as he admitted he would be loathe to leave Colorado if he can help it.

Speaking on the "Kickin’ It With Dee" podcast, the prodigy gave an honest insight into his thought process on the subject, while revealing his love for the area. Paying tribute to the hospitality of the Colorado people, he said: "I want to make an impact on the [Colorado] community.

"They took us in with open arms… My neighbors help me out a lot," he explained with his admiration for his community clear in his response. He continued: "Sometimes, I go to away games, and I need somebody to watch my dog. I feel comfortable I can go to my neighbors…

"They watch out for my house. They watch out for everything that’s going on because they know how much I mean to the city, how much I mean to the state. I never feel uncomfortable," he said, before admitting to having designs on playing for the Broncos , adding: "I wish I could just go to the Broncos to stay in Colorado because so many people have welcomed us."

As for the one location that Hunter is not eager to move to, he was clear that he is not hoping to be setting up home in San Francisco any time soon. Giving a blunt response on the idea of plying his trade in the Californian city, he said: "That’s too far… And you know I like to save my money, too. That price is hot!"

Either way, there is no doubting the star's unbridled ambitions as he looks forward to the next chapter of his career, as he offered: "I wanna be the first pick. I never dreamed of it until a couple years ago when I knew I had a chance… That’s been my main goal – I don’t care where it is. Just get me there."

These words come after coach Sanders' praise for the player, as he talked up Hunter's talents as a two-way star. He said: "The thing about Travis is, if you put him on, if he plays cornerback, and he's being dominant out there, and you sit up there and you can't move the ball at the next level, you're gonna say 'Well, my best receiver's on the sidelines, somebody come on'... Travis is a football player, and you can't have a football player on the sidelines,"
