Tammi Saccoman, Erik Menendez 's wife, was spotted for the first time after their latest court update .

Brothers Lyle Menendez and Erik Menendez have been in prison since 1996 serving a life sentence without parole for the murder of their parents in 1989. Their case has been recently publicized in Netflix 's Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story .

On Thursday, the brothers got a court hearing scheduled for November. Tammi has been married to Erik since 1999 and stood by him for years.

Tammi was spotted near her home in Las Vegas, Nevada. Her long blonde hair fell over one shoulder and held together with a pink scrunchie with white polka dots.

She wore a zipped-up brown t-shirt with an animal print paw print on it. She also wore beat-up white sneakers and dark baggy pants and oversized brown sunglasses.

The 62-year-old was seen getting into a red Tesla more than 300 miles away from the RJ Donovan Correctional Facility in San Diego where her husband is serving time. It's unclear how many times Tammi visits her husband, but it is known that the brothers aren't allowed conjugal visits.

Tammi and Erik started talking when Tammi wrote him letters while he was in prison. They married on June 12, 1999 at Folsom State Prison where Erik was being held at the time. Their wedding cake was a twinkie.

She has been a strong supporter of Erik, even though she faced a lot of criticism. In 2005 she wrote a book titled They Said We'd Never Make It.

The brothers have a chance of getting out of prison, as Los Angeles District Attorney George Gascón stated that there was new evidence in the case that could back up the brothers' claim that they were abused by their father, Jose Menendez.

"We have been given evidence. We have been given a photocopy of a letter that allegedly was sent by one of the brothers to another family member talking about him being the victim of molestation," the LA District Attorney said, 'We’ve also got evidence that was provided by the defense, by his lawyers, that one of the members of the Menudo band alleged that he was molested by the father."
