Whipping up crispy bacon might seem straightforward , but the pan-frying approach often leads to shrinkage and curling due to too much oil. Apart from grease splattering all over your stove, this method can result in bacon that's charred yet chewy rather than evenly golden and crisp.

Still, there's good news from Natasha Kravchuk, culinary whiz and brain behind Natasha's Kitchen, who's discovered a fail-safe strategy for impeccable bacon minus the greasy pan hassle.

Natasha's hot tip: "The air fryer method is so much easier to make than stovetop or baking in the oven because it's quick, less messy and there's no need to preheat the oven.", reports the Express .

Cooking bacon in an air fryer?

It might sound basic, but it's a game-changer compared to traditional methods it's healthier and amps up the flavor and crunch.

Usually, bacon's white fat should melt away gently, but cooking with oil forces the process too fast, causing the fat to scorch.

This hasty sizzle often leaves the meat overly dry and its fatty edge overcooked.

However, air-frying bacon balances the heat, enveloping the strips with a consistent temperature that cooks them thoroughly without a single flip.

Curious about the optimal way to get sizzling bacon using an air fryer?

Natasha raved, "Making air fryer bacon is so EASY! Enjoy crisp and evenly cooked bacon in under 10 minutes with the easiest cleanup."

Just pop some baking paper in your air fryer basket or perch it atop the tray.

Next, lay out those bacon strips on the baking paper without overlapping them.

Crank up the heat to 180C and dial the timer to seven minutes. Your air fryer model might tweak cook times slightly, but generally, seven minutes nails it.

For extra crunch, aim for eight to nine minutes, or go ten to twelve if you're all about that thick-cut life.

Once the bell dings, offload the bacon onto paper towels to ditch any pesky grease, then serve it up hot on toast or a plate - hello, crispier and tastier breakfast star!

You'll even slice a smidgen of unhealthy from your meal since oil's a no-show.

Another fab reason to join the air fryer bacon bandwagon?

Simply wet each slice with a small stream of water from the faucet. Makes them magically delicious and they don't shrink. Place in hot dry frying pan.
