Ben Affleck is going "back and forth" with Jennifer Lopez after their shock divorce , according to a source.
J.Lo filed for divorce from Ben back in August and it's believed they're both keen to work out a resolution quickly. They've kept up a friendly appearance in public, with the pair recently spotted on an outing with their kids.
However, a source has now suggested things aren't great behind-the-scenes and accused Ben of "messing with J.Lo's head". They added: "Ben's got a very addictive personality, and a lot of people think now that he's sober, he's switched vices and become a love addict.
"It's obviously giving him some sort of buzz to be sort of back and forth with J.Lo, even though he has no intention of going any further than having a little fun." The source said Ben's ex-wife Jennifer Garner thinks "it's a terrible idea."
Speaking to In Touch Magazine , the source added: "It's also sending mixed messages to the kids, which isn’t healthy. It's just putting everyone back on this awful roller-coaster."
Despite the back and forth, the source said Ben still wants to push ahead with the divorce. They added: "People are begging him to get a grip and start acting with a little more intention instead of just following every urge he gets."
The comments come after Ben was spotted chain smoking while sat inside his BMW. He seemed stressed as he was spotted running errands on Wednesday.
J.Lo filed for divorce two months ago, listing their official date of separation as April 26. Shortly before the divorce filing, Ben moved out of their family home and bought a $20.5million property between Brentwood and Pacific Palisades in California.
The divorce could get messy as Ben and J.Lo reportedly didn't sign a prenup, leaving their massive wealth up for grabs in a potential legal battle. According to The Daily Mail , the pair "have been trying to hash out a settlement for months."
A source noted that, while typically J.Lo wouldn't be so picky, she was unhappy with the fallout of their relationship, so she's itemizing their transactions and finding out just how much money Ben was spending throughout their marriage.
The source said: "She isn't the one who gave up on their marriage and she's feeling seriously burned and is out for blood ... Ben took so much money out of her, at least that's what she's saying ... she's adding up all those private jet bills she puts on her plastic, the hotels, and meals, clothes, coffee runs, gas."
