Ex-NFL star looks unrecognizable after incredible 200lbs weight loss following 'Biggest Loser'

A former NFL heavyweight is barely recognizable these days, having dropped a whopping 200 pounds after coming in second on the hit TV show 'The Biggest Loser'.

The ex- Philadelphia Eagles and Atlanta Falcons offensive tackle, who was picked eighth overall in the 1991 NFL Draft , saw his weight skyrocket to nearly 500 pounds post-retirement. After hanging up his cleats in 1999, the football ace dabbled in real estate and the culinary world.

He confessed in 2012, "It turns out I'm just by nature a stress eater," and elaborated, "If I have things that are not going well, I turn to some type of comfort food. I think being a stress eater in a restaurant that's not doing well is the recipe for disaster."

He also shared, "So here I am the heaviest guy, and the oldest guy, and I'm not dead yet. I think it was just a reality check. If you don't do something, you are going to die. There are no ifs, ands or buts."

In a transformative journey, the unrecognizable ex-NFL star, Antone Davis, joined the cast of The Biggest Loser's 12th season in 2011, tipping the scales at 447 pounds. Six months later, by the show's finale, he had shed an astonishing amount of weight, slimming down to roughly 245 pounds.

"I came in with high blood pressure, and now I have no issues with blood pressure," Davis explained. "High risk for stroke, and I have no risk for stroke. No more than any average person. You name it. The elements are gone. I'm just able to do things. It was almost like it opened up a whole new world. I'm able to fit into clothes that I couldn't fit in since I was 14 years old. It still doesn't seem real, but it absolutely is real."

Following his incredible transformation, Davis turned his attention to football coaching, dedicating five years to the University of Tennessee. Today, he has settled down in Tampa, Florida, and is employed by Citi as a senior business analyst, but his son Braden Davis continues the family's football legacy.

Braden plays as a towering 6ft5in quarterback-turned-wide receiver for Syracuse Orange. The 21-year-old had a stint at South Carolina but jumped into the transfer portal just before the start of the 2023 season. As a high school athlete, he earned a three-star rating in the class of 2021.

In 2024, Braden hasn't registered any playing time since making the switch to a receiver. Syracuse has started well this season, boasting a 4-1 record.

They sit sixth in the ACC with seven huge games to come, including two against No. 22-ranked Pittsburgh, and a season finale against the No. 6 Miami Hurricanes.
