New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers will delay his weekly segment on "The Pat McAfee Show" after Robert Saleh was relieved of his head coaching duties .

On Tuesday morning it was announced that Saleh would no longer serve as Jets head coach, with franchise owner Woody Johnson losing all faith that he can turn the season around . The Jets arrived back from London with a 2-3 record after losing to the Minnesota Vikings in Week 5 and reported to the team facility on Monday to begin preparations for the Buffalo Bills , who they host in Week 6.

Rodgers appears on " The Pat McAfee Show " every Tuesday, and because of the announcement fans were hoping to hear his initial reaction after Saleh was fired. However, due to the situation, Rodgers will not appear on the show and will conduct his usual segment on Wednesday.

"Ladies and gentlemen. Source(s) are telling me that @AaronRodgers12 will be joining The Program TOMORROW," McAfee posted on X. Seemingly, Rodgers wasn't aware that Saleh would be fired on Tuesday.

The decision by Johnson stunned the Jets players according to SNY, as no one within the facility expected Saleh to lose his job. For now, defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich will become interim head coach for the remainder of the season.

Saleh arrived to conduct business as usual on Tuesday when he was told that he was no longer required. According to NBC Sports, Saleh was escorted out of the building by security and didn't have a chance to speak with the players before his exit.

Johnson released a statement to confirm the terminated relationship between the Jets and Saleh. "This morning (Tuesday), I informed Robert Saleh that he will no longer serve as the Head Coach of the Jets. I thanked him for his hard work these past three-and-a-half years and wished him and his family well moving forward.

"This was not an easy decision, but we are not where we should be given our expectations, and I believe now is the best time for us to move in a different direction. Jeff Ulbrich will serve as our Interim Head Coach for the remainder of the season.

"He is a tough coach who has the respect of the coaches and players on this team. I believe he along with the coaches on this staff can get the most out of our talented team and attain the goals we established this offseason."

It's been speculated that Rodgers was losing his patience with Saleh, as the quarterback and head coach have shared some awkward moments on the sidelines this season. Rodgers spoke out last week to deny any fallout and insisted that his relationship with Saleh was good.

"We're really good friends," Rodgers said. "We enjoy each other. We spend time almost every day in his office talking about things and talking about the energy of the team, the focus of the team and what we need to get done, how I can help him out, how he can help me out. So we've got a great relationship."
