American mom's hilarious reaction to daughter's cute pronunciation of porridge

It's finally World Porridge Day on Thursday (October 10).

The day celebrates the scrumptious bowl which is perfectly suited for breakfast or a post-gym meal. But now to commemorate the day, a hilarious TikTok video surfaced showing an American mom reacting to her Italian daughter's pronunciation of the grub.

In the clip, this light-hearted exchange turns linguistic when the mom, followed by 404,000 on TikTok as @santindarainitaly, captions the video with: "No no Goldilocks, that's not what we call it in this American home."

The viral moment kicks off with text overlay stating: "American mom corrects Italian daughter," as the girl innocently asks for porridge, leaving her parent taken aback, who insists in Italian: "But it's not called porridge."
