A wealthy Florida mother has come under fire on social media after showing off her 'Milton proof' mansion on TikTok.

The woman, who goes by the username Kricketfelt, posted several videos of herself and her family preparing for Hurricane Milton. She bragged to her followers about her plans to weather the storm in her luxurious home, which was constructed by her husband.

Despite repeated warnings from local authorities and the government urging residents to evacuate or risk losing their lives, the woman defiantly announced her intention to stay put with her husband and their Rottweiler, Zeus.

In one clip, she can be heard saying, "This is really gonna **** you off," before showing off her massive home and stating, "That's my house. That's why I'm not leaving, because my husband built this house. It was built commercial grade and it's solid concrete."

She went on to boast: "I don't give a **** about all the people... 'aw you're so rich, oh my god'... whatever, my husbands a builder so **** you", reports the Express US .

Since then, she has disabled comments on the video, which was uploaded to TikTok. The video left many viewers puzzled by the woman's confrontational attitude.

Before the comments were turned off, many shared their thoughts on the video. One person wrote: "Well aren't you just a humble Ray of sunshine".

Another confused commenter asked: "'But who is she fighting with I'm confused why is she so mad". Others were quick to reprimand the woman, with one saying: "DON'T you DARE call any emergency services if this goes south for you".

The woman had been updating her online following on the status of her home when Hurricane Helene hit two weeks ago, leading to chaos and destruction across the southeastern US, with a death toll exceeding 230.

Her viral videos prompted responses from fellow social media users, like @radotv1029 who posted: "Ya'll, why that lady out in Florida, that little rich lady with the three-story home, mad at the internet? ".

They quipped, "Baby, we would've never known you was at your house still trying to ride out this wave of Milton if you never posted. Lady, what's wrong with you? ". Kricketfelt uploaded another alarming TikTok as Hurricane Milton set in, showing her property taking a beating from fierce winds.

Fear could be heard in her voice as she recorded alongside the escalating storm saying: "I'm just going to video this right now. It's getting really bad... oh my god! ". She has received over 2 million views for her frightened commentary including, "I can't really go outside. I shouldn't go outside anyway."

"It's gonna get worse. I'm not going to be out here in it, I'll tell you that," she further insisted. In another eerie nighttime video, she acknowledges the blackout, noting "There goes the power, the whole street." Yet she reassures viewers about being prepared with "All the powers out. Well, we have a generator, so there's that."

Hurricane Milton is still wreaking havoc across Florida, leaving a reported 2.8 million people without electricity. Despite the availability of more durable materials like brick and concrete, wood remains the primary building material for American homes.
