Even three decades after it debuted, Friends remains one of the most popular sitcoms of all time, still being a global hit. During the COVID-19 pandemic, several viewers discovered the sitcom on streaming services, and the rest was history.

So, for the 30th anniversary of the show, which follows six friends who live in New York City, navigating life together, including romances that make their dynamic messy at times, McDonald's restaurants in Spain is collaborating with NBC and the show to allow adult fanatics to collect figurines of all the main characters.

Deadline reported that the Happy Meals will come with a choice of a Big Mac, a Quarter Pound, McRoyal Delux, CBO or McChicken and comes with a drink and fries, too. Each is served with the new, special "Monica's Marinara" sauce.

The Happy Meals are being dubbed the "Friends Box." Some McDonald's in Spain are going all out, too, with one sharing on social media that they had transformed an entire restaurant into Central Perk, the famous, made-up coffee shop from the hit series, replete with the iconic orange couch.

It's not yet clear if American locations of McDonald's will be selling the adult Happy Meals, too — as of right now, it's just Spain that will see the special event take place.

Friends originally premiered in September 1994 on NBC. It stars Jennifer Aniston (Rachel Green), Courteney Cox (Monica Geller), Lisa Kudrow (Phoebe Buffay), Matt LeBlanc (Joe Tribbiani), Matthew Perry (Chandler Bing) and David Schwimmer (Ross Geller). Together, they move through life and relationships and lean on each other as they navigate hardships and enjoy life in NYC.

In NYC itself, there are several Friends attractions to visit, including the iconic Friends apartment. The show continues to draw fanatics to the city and plays at least a minor role in the city's tourism industry, just like the iconic Christmas film franchise, Home Alone, which also takes place in NYC.

It's not just McDonald's that's slated to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the show, either. Max, formerly known as HBO Max, is set to produce a game show based on the sitcom that will star comedian Whitney Cummings. Called Fast Friends, the show, from Warner Bros. Unscripted Television, will come in four parts, Deadline reported, and will start production next month at The Friends Experience: The One in New York City.

The game show is slated to take place across several of the show's sets, including the apartment of Rachel and Monica, Joey and Chandler's apartment and Central Perk.

Fans will be able to relive moments form the show as they're quizzed on trivia, given puzzles to solve and play games. The quickest team to finish is slated to win the title of Ultimate Friends Fan.
