After leaving her acting career behind in 2018 to wed Prince Harry , it would be easy to assume that Meghan Markle had completely moved on from her previous life as she embarked on new ventures.

Despite her busy schedule filled with charity work, business launches, and Netflix projects, the Duchess of Sussex still managed to send a supportive message to her former Suits co-star - five years after the show's conclusion. Her former co-star Patrick J Adams revealed this unexpected development, admitting he was taken aback by the kind message he received from Meghan following the launch of his Suits rewatch podcast.

Patrick shared the news on Reddit , stating: "We are not really in touch. She leads a very different life now for obvious and important reasons. [But] upon hearing about the [Suits rewatch] podcast, I got a lovely text, saying how excited she was for us and asking how she could help in any way."

The unexpected message resonated with the actor, who noted that it's "so lovely to still have that kind of support and friendship after so many years apart." Patrick J. Adams has thrown it back to the courtroom drama with the launch of Sidebar: A Suits Watch Podcast, alongside Sarah Rafferty on September 24.

The podcast is giving fans a hit of nostalgia as they revisit the show that skyrocketed in popularity on streaming platforms after its original run. It has been years since Duchess Meghan, now 43, stole hearts as Rachel Zane, paralegal and Mike Ross' love interest, until her departure from the show in 2018 a year before Suits wrapped up in 2019.

During a candid Reddit Q&A, Adams opened up about his journey since leaving Suits but didn't miss a chance to express how much the series meant to him.

Adams commented: "I care deeply about this job [and] this part and [worked] long and hard to make the best version of it. So, to hear that it's connected with so many people is a big reason why I wanted to go back and watch it all. I wanna honour the show in a different way than I did when I was shooting it, if that makes sense."

While he might just be starting out, Patrick is not alone in the world of podcasting; his former co-star Meghan who dipped her toes into the audio streaming world with her Spotify original series Archetypes in 2022. Despite the show's cancellation by Spotify, Lemonada Media plans to breathe new life into it soon.
