CeeDee Lamb reveals his message to Dak Prescott from viral sideline SNF exchange

Dallas Cowboys receiver CeeDee Lamb insisted told Dak Prescott to throw a “jump ball” during their viral sideline interaction in the win over the Pittsburgh Steelers .

On Sunday Night Football last week, the Cowboys clinched an important 20-17 victory over the Steelers . With just 20 seconds remaining, Prescott found Jalen Tolbert in the end zone to seal victory as the Dallas offense finally unlocked the Pittsburgh defense.

While the win means the Cowboys are sitting in a solid position at 3-2, question marks lingered over the offense. Throughout the clash, Lamb - who finished with five catches for 62 yards - and Prescott struggled to find a rhythm, and cameras picked up on the star wideout appearing to engage in a tense clash with his quarterback .

The incident came after Prescott tossed an interception while targeting Lamb for a potential touchdown pass. During the game, NBC broadcasters Cris Collinsworth and Mike Tirico speculated whether the receiver was growing tired of his quarterback’s struggles.

“I’ll let you read your own lips. At Dak. Dak doesn't react at all. Doesn't look good,” Collinsworth said. Tirico added: “Not a bit. Not a bit.”

However, on Thursday, Lamb clarified what was said. He insisted the whole thing had been blown out of proportion while relaying that he said: “Jump balls, Four. Jump balls, and I got you.”

Lamb liked his matchup against Steelers cornerback Donte Jackson. Jackson is listed at 5-foot-10, while Lamb is 6-foot-2. Lamb is also one of the NFL ’s best wide receivers when it comes to contested catches, and the interception thrown by Prescott was perhaps too low.

Prescott also confirmed this was what Lamb said to him following the pick. When the 31-year-old was asked about the viral nature of his sideline interaction with Lamb, the quarterback said: “It's comical.”

Despite the issues on offense, the Cowboys secured a much-needed win. Both sides of the ball have been dealing with injuries, with the offense missing Brandin Cooks while All-Pro guard Zack Martin could be absent due to load management following a back injury.

Meanwhile, star defenders Micah Parsons and DeMarcus Lawrence missed Week 5, with Lawrence recently being placed on IR due to a foot injury. Parsons returned to practice, albeit limited, after suffering a high ankle sprain and is expected to return soon.
